December 19, 1924 |
Born near the Yalu River at the border of Korea and China as the eldest son of Sang Hang Cho who was a prominent Korean resistance leader against the Japanese military regime, which had occupied Korea since its invasion in 1905. His father received Christ as his savior when he was 10 years old. |

Received infant baptism from Rev. Donald A. Swicord, a missionary from the Southern Presbyterian Church of USA, so he was raised as a Christian from childhood. |

Entered to Kimjae Public Elementary School, Kimjae, North Jeolla Province. |

Transferred to Soong-Il Christian Elementary School, Kwangju, South Jeolla Province. |

Excellence in Theology But Failure in Evangelism |
1949-1955 |
Began evangelization to plant the church but failed to reach heathens. He soon realized that seminary training did not teach me how to evangelize unreached, and so He failed to reach unreached people because He did not know how to begin evangelism to heathens. So he decided to study evangelism and mission. |

Went to the United States to pursue the studies in Mission and Evangelism. His missionary training pilgrimage began, it started from Barrington College Providence, Rhode Island and WEC Missionary Training Center, Fort Washington, Pennsylvania |
